asian plants

i am doing an asian look tank and want some decent looking plants that dont need loads of light.

I don't know much about keeping plants in an aquarium but most of the streams and rivers I have seen in asia are rather shallow, so I am guessing would provide average to bright light to the fishies and plants inside.
