Earthworm isn't necessary good for all kinds of fishes/cichlids. For instance, Firemouth has problem digesting worm.
Also, many cichlids eat vegetable as part of their diet. Remember to include some vege. I only use spinach as part of their diet.
I feed my fishes all kinds of food, flakes, cichlid pellets, cichlid sticks, dry shrimp, krill, beef heart, spinach, and raw shrimp. I don't want my fish to be picky on food if only giving them one kinds of diet. However, the shrimp is their "once a week" food. They usually go crazy over it. I feed them pellets, flakes, sticks in the morning. I feed them beef heart (home made recipe) after work. Before sleep, I feed them krill/dry shrimp and spinach. Usually feed all my fish by hand. All my fishes have to have one bite of food every meal. The rest, I left them in the tank to let them fight over. I give them 5 minutes to finish. Whatever they can't finish, I net it out. You don't wanna leave food in the tank for too long because the food can develop into cotton like fungus.
