Attach Plant to Driftwood

I want to get an anubias nana for my tank and I'm thinking of attaching it to a piece of driftwood. Just wondering how to attach the plant to the driftwood without damaging its roots. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

we use thread... either black/dark green/brown although the colour doesnt really matter....
it seems to work pretty well.

Anubias take a while. If you use cotton thread it may rot too fast. Rubber bands are very good for this. They don't hurt the plant at all and they can stay until their work is done. Then you just cut them and pull them out.

I've been using rubber bands for my new Java Fern and Anubias, they work well. The Anubias I bought came potted, so I pulled the rock wool off the roots, placed an elastic band around the middle of the plant and gently stretched it around the wood. It's been a few weeks, and the Anubias is putting out new leaves, but I don't think it's secured itself yet.
[edit] I did some maintenance on the pico today, and checked the Anubias - it's securely attached to the decoration. I looked it up in my diary, I've had it about a month.[/edit]

I just moved mine up onto my driftwood, I had it attatched to a rock, and it was doing fine but putting out smallish leaves. Some bba! OMG ick. I'm wondering if moving it up to the higher light would help some. I just re-rigged the diy co2, so much for using excel alone! (Probably too much fert for the slower rate of growth.) Just spread the root over the wood and secure with the rubber band, works well. YUP!
