I was wondering what some ways were to secure my return hose from my auto-topoff reservoir to the tank? I am a bit scared it will come loose and just pump water on the floor instead of into the tank. (I just got a JBJ ato controller)

Thanks!

oh yeah, that's good thinking.. i was going to use a maxijet though because i want to push the water up like 4.5ft and it needs the thick tubing.. I guess I could set my topoff container up higher though. seems like it is going to be an eyesore anyway i cut it..

Probably goes without saying but just make sure you dont set it above the water level its pumping into and end up siphoning the entire res. into your tank.

I don't get it

Edit: Oh, did you mean don't set it below the water level its pumping into?

Try this: http://www.melevsreef.com/plumbing/auto_topoff.html

I just got done reading it and it is very helpful. Also, has very good visuals. This will also explain why you would'nt want to sit your reservoir higher than the water level in your sump. But Andy pretty much cleared that up.

Hope this helps!
