I just ordered a couple aussie acans and I wondered what light food and things they needed to care for them?

I have been reading they like lower light and not too much flow so in my 12 gallon hqi aquarium I should put them lower right ?

Just looking to see what people have experienced with them.
 
They can tolerate higher light, so long as they are acclimated properly. Good, meaty foods are sufficient for these corals. They'll readily take smaller mysids, chopped foods, etc. Yes, you'll probably need to start it out lower in your tank to play it safe.
 
First off you can't mention you've ordered aussies and not share photos!

I've seen them cared for under med-high lighting. Typically under 250 watt MHs with 14000K bulbs. A poster at RC has some of the most amazing specimens I've run across in one collecti8on, you might post this question there as well. Some photos of his can be found here:
