Auto feeders and Eclipse tanks

Hi, my bf and I have a 25 gal eclipse that we want to put an auto feeder on but seeing as most of the feeders hang over the top of the tank how do you go about using one with a hooded tank? We will be gone for about a week and I think thats too long to leave the fish without food for. Any ideas?
 
is it possible to prop the hood??
 
yea but then the lights are up too when I prop it up. The filter has a separate hood that maybe I can attach the feeder near where the filter is. But I don't know if it would work? Just wanted to know if anyone else had used an auto feeder with an eclipse.
 
i think i had a guy asking me the same thing at work a few weeks ago and we ended up at a stale mate... think he just threw in some vacation feeders... good luck finding something! maybe they'll have something specifically made for the eclipse online?
