Automatic feeding!?

Bqack to the subject of feeding and lengthof time without food.
I would agree that I am uncomfortable with two weeks sans feeding, but,
Fish will find some food in the tank naturally. My guppies eat algea when they get hungry, and scavenge constantly on the bttom. One week without food and the guppy tank is absolutely pristine, and the guppies seem to be just fine. Fish that are truly hungry will look starved, Go a week without food and see if your fish show signs, then go two weeks without food. You probably won't see any difference in behavior or appearance.
Lastly, That being said, I use pentair aquatics lifegaurd feeders. The most they work for is 15 days without accessories, but I get to measure every food amount dispensed. it is basically a rotary hopper that drops the food I put in the slot for each day so no chance of over or under feeding. This unit is also AC, rather than battery operated. The battery operated units recieve good reviews, but I'm a bit neurotic about buying batteries, and worrying about when they die.
