Avatar: The movie discussion

I thought it was a good movie but I believe a sequel is totally unnecessary. I mean seriously, how many good sequels were ever made?

i want to become one with eywa, the navi are real, we just havnt been blest enough to be in their presence............. JUST KIDDING. it has to be the greatest movie ive ever seen, but some people take it way to far. if you go to learnnavi.com you can learn what little bit of language there is, and there is a petition to the creator of the language to produce a complete vocabulary for them, its pretty funny because they address the guy as "father", its well writen, but its a little far-fetched. i signed just for the hell of it. if you learnnavi.com and click the link at the top that says "sign the petition to free the navi language" you can read it, its pretty ammusing.

wow that is taking it to far...

Hmmm.....maybe it's just me, but I don't think a sequel is necessary. I can't imagine how the sequel would go after the way the movie ended. If anything, Jack and Neytiri probably have babies --- maybe another Home Tree will grow? But what then? Do the evil, greedy, and selfish humans return with even more force power and come back to claim what is not theirs -- unobtanium? I assume the sequel would make as much revenue if not more than the original movie, but I just hope it's not another bad sequel that does no justice to the original.

I agree with this. I don't really want a sequel. The story arc has transpired. The ending was perfect, IMO. Too many great movies are sullied with bad sequels.

But it's probably inevitable that a sequel will be made...

as i said earlier they are already making a sequel lol.

I don't think it needs a sequel. I think more of the same thing would make it drawn out and blah.
