A thawed green pea? I have some of those...I will try it.

Yeah just a skinned pea. I give them to all of my fish (not bettas) once or twice a week and most of them seem to enjoy them quite a bit.

I give all my fish peas once a week - my girl bettas play keep away with the other fish. Sometimes I wonder if they know they are carniverous!

i beg to differ with many here. i kept a betta alive for over 4 years in a bowl about a 1/2 gallon in size. i was a boy at the time and did as was told, but he was happy and lived a long life, loving his freeze-dried bloodworms.

Wife kept a few bettas (all in 2.5G bowls) with 100% WCs weekly. She had 2 live over 5 yrs. The issue I have IME is the digestive issues - Peas are a Great idea!

P.S. We now have our 'new' Betta (7 mnths) in our heated 10G
