I just visited a lfs that I have never been to before. They are very knowledgable and I will probably go there again. At another fish store I saw the same kind of rainbow fish selling for 20.00 and at this store they were selling for 4.00. They also had discuses there for 20.00. This was really cheap, I thought. There wasn't any thing wrong with the fish that I could tell. Good store in my eyes. Are rainbow fish usually that cheap and should I go back there and buy the whole tank full?

Hey Rush dude...i just noticed you live in Cnetral Jersey...I am from that area.....check out Animals and things in Woodbridge NJ. They have a good selection of fish.....and always have about 6 or more types of Rainbows in stock. They also have discus...and good number of plecos. GREAT store.

Animals and Things is great for product, but as far as livestock guys its below average at best. Gross looking and dirty tanks. Never had luck with their fish. Great selection but questionable quality.

For Salt I go to Reefs Inc in Greenbrook and Absolutely Fish in Clifton

Fresh- Aquarium Center in Clementon
and I work at Petco so I'll order stuff in occassionally

Absolutely Fish in clifton is good as well. Animals N things is good for your common stock. Ive never had a problem with my fish.

DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYWHERE IN NEW JERSEY THAT HAS A GREAT SELECTION OF NOT SO COMMON FRESHWATER FISH. IM NOT REALLY INTO THE BASIC FISH.

i have : 3 German Blue rams, 1 King Tiger Pleco(L66), 1 Green yellow spotted pleco(L200), 9 Tiger Barbs, 5 Panda Cory, 2 Bosemani Rainbows, 1 Green Apple snail, 1 Gold Severum(i think thats what he is....i bought him as a German ram when he was real small.....but it isnt..who knows.) I would like to give the barbs away...but dont know what to replcae with...maybe black neon tetras......?????

Tropaquarium is a good place to go. Great selection of fresh and salt water.
Pet Asylum is another good place to gor. They have a good selection of fresh but they don't have any salt. There is another fish store around the corner of my house opening, I will check that out when it opens.

Hey Rush......

Where are Tropaquarium and Petasylum(towns)? Will make it easier to do a search.

There is also a place in North Jersey called Aquarium Aquatics....never been there.....but if anyone has....let us know. :dance
