Aviary/Paludarium .. not sure what to call this...

I like the idea but as I am sure you are seeing there could be some issues. What if you put net or something up vertically from the border between the land and water to keep the birds in back over the land? That may help with some of the water pollution and keep birds from drowning... finches came to mind as a small bird choice as well
