Spinoffs
I have seen many attempts at spinoff sites from AC. Most have not gone anywhere. However, Roan's Bowheads.org and the new aquariumboard.com have more potential then any I have seen over the last five years.

I'll be checking in with aquariumboard.com from time to time to see if there's any action, since AC is so dead now. As much as I like Roan & have received a lot of help from her over the past months (thanks RA) I just don't support her idea of a hierarchy of "specialists" with special titles, etc. I enjoy the internet & forums for their democratic approach-- everyone contributes and is of equal status (exept for the moderators of course). So-called "authorities" = too much ego for my taste. Why not just let people contribute their information & let the reader decide for themselves who is trustworthy or not?
