Hey guys! I'm a youth pastor and had a group of students at a youth camp this past week in the Chattanooga, TN area. We wrapped up at the camp on Friday morning and I gave them the option of heading on home or checking any number of things out in the area. Of the various possibilities, they decided they'd like to go to the aquarium. Of course I was more than happy to oblidge!
I have to say kudos to the folks at the Tennessee Aquarium. They really do a great job! There were all kinds of biotopes set up showing all of the major river systems of the world. There were buildings devoted to freshwater and saltwater. There was incredible variety, and everything was pristine.
It was really great getting to see a lot of the fish I've been learning so much about in the past year or so, and some that I keep at home, in their natural environments with other naturally occuring species as well. I was taken back by so much of it, and our students totally loved it.
I was so impressed I plan on heading back soon when I have more time to check out each exhibit to check it out again. And I would LOVE to take my neices!
Anyway, there's my bit of enrapturement for the week!
