Right...kill my dreams lol...I got all exited when they said they have stores in South Africa...did a search only to find that it's in durban...right...thats only what 1700km's (1050miles) away...no chance of popping round on the weekend...but it looks AMAZZZZZZZZZZZZING I'd never leave, plus I'd need a huge raise...variety the killer of the paycheque... :p

Nice store. Its huge! I hope the staff there are as smart as they say.

I havent gone wrong by asking them something in the past. Unfortunately for me they are 2 hours. Here is thier phone number #614-792-0884. I called them concerning the Freshwater Bloom in my tank. On this forum I got a lot of good recommendations on how to control the bloom, Thanks! One thing this LFS asked me was if i added any new driftwood to my tank. Well yes i did add a craggy piece of Malaysian driftwood recently that i soaked for two weeks in a clean 5 gal bucket. There is a possiblilty that this wood had the Hydra in it. I did a treatment of CopperSafe last night, they suggested seeing if that helps after a few days. If it doesnt then remove the driftwood soak it in a light bleach solution, rinse it well then re-add it to the tank. So i guess i will see how all the suggestion work out.

Aquarium adventures in Columbus Ohio is awesome! It realy breaks the "big box" LFS mold. Always have someone very knowledgeble on hand. We are lucky in Columbus we also have Byerl's Aquarium (locally owned store that sells fish, fish, and only fish)

PS Aquarium adventure just got a big load of A. panduro, A. agazizzi, and A. cacatuoides in. But nobody take the dominant pair of panduros in the right hand tank. I saw em first and they're mine, mine, all mine!!!!!! :D

I have an AA (Aquarium Adventure not the 12 step program) 2 miles from me. They do have a very knowledgeable staff and a decent selection of healthy fish and plants.

Their equipment prices are a bit on the expensive side. You’ll do better buying online from a place like Big Al’s.

Last month AA ran a 50% off sale on all fish. I had to set up two more tanks just to handle my purchases (Hmm maybe a 12 step program is in order)

Man - I wish I had a great store like that near me, or even in my state! There is only one store around me that is any good, and it is a small LFS. I end up buying most of my fish online, which gets expensive due to shipping costs and my taste in less-common fish.

As I was scoping their site I ran across this line.

"As a general rule, you should not keep more than two (2) inches of fish per gallon of water. For example, a 2-gallon fish bowl should not house more than two, 2-inch long goldfish."

All I can say is none of our goldfish would be happy in a 2 gallon tank, not even the smallest of them.

Normd, what are you doing in Columbus ;) !!! My brother actually lives near there, and he has a pretty nice tank, I wonder how close it is to his house, I might have to do some shopping next time I visit :D
