I'm not very qualified to tell you too much about Altums. I'm a big discus lover, and my main focus is on that and planted tanks... but Wild Altums and Wild Discus have always been my dream. I plan on keeping specialized tanks for both in the future. I do believe that they are somewhat similar to Discus in terms of care. In that they need to have their own specialized tank for the most part other then maybe cories and certain small tetra like cardinals. 82+ degrees and I'd assume they would be best kept in groups of 5+ similar to discus. As far as breeding goes weather it's angels or discus you need to removed the pair that is mating into it's own tank due to aggression issues.
I would recommend starting with 5+ non wild angels. Unless your already experienced with fish and feel comfortable taking on a more advance fish like an Altum. If your wanting to go with Altums then I would suggest doing your research very well before diving into it. But those would be amazing in that tank for sure =)
