I have at least 4, potentially 6 that need homes. Unless someone out there has a BIG tank, there will be plenty to go around.
I will take my time and find them the best homes I can. I am thrilled to have all this interest in the little guys! Really they are wonderful little creatures.
I will not make any snap decisions, I would really like everyone to think it over carefully and give me an honest commitment to take them and care for them for as long as they live. That is the important part here, the timing is irrelevant, so please carefully consider and I will let everyone know before I get rid of them.
I raised these from eggs, I got the eggs at a meeting of a local aquarium club in PA that I visited from NY when they had Jeff Senske presenting- a very famous aquscaper. At the end of the meeting there was an auction of donated items. I wanted to support the club who spent the money to host Jeff's seminar (not cheap), and the jerk (Glenn, are you out there?) from my local club who was sitting next to me when they announced Axolotl eggs- I said to him, what's an axolotl? He says its a killie fish. Okay, I like a surprise and I always want to grow out fry, so I bid them up.
WELL..... wasn't I surprised when they hatched and had gills on the OUTSIDE... WTF? I expected Killie fish! Good think I kept the bag with the label and looked up Axolotl... imagine if I hadn't? What would I have thought when my killie fish started growing FEET!
