I'm in the planning/setup stages of my 5.5G and I was wondering if The Azoo Palm Filter would work for me and the Betta I plan for this tank? I currently have an Aqueon Power Filter 10 that flows at 100 gph and I can see it pushing a Betta around too much but I don't want the tank to be unfiltered. Does anyone have any experience with the Azoo? Would it work for my application? Any other suggestions?

The tank will be useing black sand fluorite a large piece of driftwood (runs the length of the tank) and I will be planting java moss on the driftwood.

Thanks, Matt

I'm not sure that filter would even fit your tank, as it has a rather small lip that won't go over some frames.

Thanks all for your responses! I took what you said to heart and tried to find more specs and pics on the Azoo and i did see it on a 2gallon glass tank w/ rim but it looked like the rim's lip might have been cut back to fit it. Another problem w/ my existing filter is that the intake tube was a bit long... Was, as in I switched it for a different one I had and put a sponge on to try to choke the flow and protect any future residents. I thought that I read somewhere that a Betta could get stressed out by a strong current, I will look more into this before I stock.
