Baby cories

Hi. This is a followup to previous discussion about cory eggs and fry. My fry are now 6 weeks old. Doing very well. I only lost one. I think I have 25 fish! I can't really see them. They are in a 5 g. with a little filter and it is pretty murky.

Anyway, I wonder if they are still too small to put in with the parents in the 10 g tank. Will the adult corys be too agressive towards the little guys?
 
Well since corys eat their own eggs I would bet they would eat the fry too. Although, in a couple more weeks it will probably be okay to release them into the tank with the adults. How big are they?
 
Well yah if you have enough cover, but if the adults find them they'll probably be eaten, so you would probably still lose some.
 
Several look like little corys. They no longer resemble tadpoles. I think I'll keep them for another few weeks in the 5 g. to be sure. I do have plants, but they are not low, ground cover...so perhaps not good to hide in.
 
The water is so murky, it's hard to get a photo. I bought an over the side Tetra Whisper filter for 5-10 g. to clean it up but the little guys seemed to be struggling too much with the current created. I turned it off so that they could eat. Actually some of the babies are quite larger already so perhaps in a week or so I can move them to the other tank. They are cute!
 
By the time they're about 1/4" long and starting to color up, they should be safe to put in with the adults. Probably the dorsal spines develop at the same time as the coloration, so they have a defense mechanism.

With my panda cories, they have adult coloration at 6-7 weeks, and are big enough to not be snacks.
