Today I counted 7 of them. There could still be more hiding, but 7 is a pretty good number! Their mom is berried again, just one week after they hatched. The males got in a fight over her and the loser lost almost all of his legs, including his claws. He's still alive, active, and eating well, so I'm hopeful for his recovery. Just goes to show you that even the "nice" crayfish can kick the crap out of each other when they feel like it, even when they have 20 gallons of territory to share. I moved all 7 babies into my shrimp tank. I think they will be safer there than in the 20L with combative males and swordtail fry.
I will try to keep taking pictures of them as they grow up!
