ok so I have had baby guppies and they are in one of those breeding traps but they have been in there for 1 month and are still not big enough to let them go with the other fish. How long should it take for them to grow big enough?

Plastic plants. They are about 3/4 the size of small neons . The other fish I have are 2 guppies full grown, 6 glowlight tetras, and 5 black skirted tetras. I have released one about a week ago and it got eaten by one of the small glowlights.
I believe that you should probably be waiting until they are at least 3/4 of an inch to 1 inch before releasing them, which should be sometime soon, as I thought they would get there in about 4 or so weeks.
*edit* I'm sure someone else can verify this also
I ask about the plants so that if need be they have areas to hide, which can somewhat protect them.
Plants are big, but I release mine back into the tank after 4-5 weeks (I think my first batch I waited 8 weeks). Some may get hurrassed or even eatten, but at 4 weeks they are strong enough to avoid the adults unless they are weak. Natural selection basically.
Don't worry, in about 3-4 months you'll be begging people to take them from you!
lol ok. I just don't want to stunt them in the little box. I mean there is one in there are he is pretty big, almost big enough to go but the rest are still very small.
lol and ya the glowlights can fight pretty fierce with each other at times. Ya when I let the one go I was pretty sure that the skirts would take it but nope this little glowlight darts out and swallows it in one swoop I laughed that it would be that particular fish that would eat it.
if you have a decently planted tank they should be fine. i have some in my 25 that i never even took out and they have done just fine over the last 4 weeks.
