Well there are 6 adult ottos in the tank currently so I don't know which ones are the parents but I will try to get a picture of my ottos before I head out tonight!

congrats, Bunny. They're adorable. I've read that it is very difficult to get otos to breed in captivity, so you must be doing something right!
my 2 female otos are swollen with eggs and the males are constantly trying to seduce them. maybe i should be so lucky! probably not, tho, since my tank is not nearly as densely planted as yours. again, good work!

Congrats on the baby otto's. Ive also heard they are quite difficult to breed in captivity. Hopefully they will make it while you are on vacation I would think the alge in the tank would sustain them just fine. Again congrat's

From what I understand....ottos are VERY difficult to breed in aquarium. Most ottos you find at lfs are from the wild.....I could be wrong about that...but I do recall reading that in more than a few sites.

you're right. plus, many of those fish are caught using unhealthy methods (possibly poisons). that's why so many otos die as soon as we bring them homeEmg said:
