Baby Red-Claws

Whoot, I got my crayfish from ladyblues1965 the other day (many thanks, btw!). It turns out that they are Red-Claws at about six months of age, and females (which is fantastic because I have been looking for "girlfriends" for my large male)!

Here's Amethyst, the purple-blue female.

Here's Lazuli making hate faces as she's charging out of her cave at me.


Cute lil' things, huh? Pretty soon they'll be huge like this:

And they are already destroying my feeder goldfish population! ^_~

Currently, a ten gallon. After my move (2 weeks or so), they'll be in a fifty gallon with the big male, since they're already approaching the "too big for a ten gallon" size.

Goldfish and rosies mainly. They'll get scraps of what I bring home from fishing too, whenever I get my butt back in gear and start fishing again, hah.
