Ok, I have briggs but today I noticed a baby snail climbing on the glass and it did not look anything like a briggs. It had a very long and pointed shell and the shell was transparant. What kind is this and how in the world did it get in there? I haven't seen any briggs eggs so I really doubt it could be a briggs baby. I don't have a planted tank so I know that it couldn't have come from plants. The last fish I added was 2 weeks ago, and I have had salt in the tank for a week to fight the ich.

without a picture, i'm just gonna say it's a pond snail. they are tenacious buggers, who knows where it came from, but i suggest you decide now if you want more or not.
their egg clutches are small clear goo wads full of tiny tiny dots that eventually turn white.

word, all the mts i've seen have very opaque shells. that's the reason i didn't go there, and compared to briggs, i think pond snail's shells are kinda pointy.

MTS

It looked exactly as the pic you have there, except very tiny and clear shell, maybe because it was so young. Since I didn't know exactly what it was I tossed it out. They had those at the last LFS I got my fish from so maybe and egg floated in the water or something. Thanks.

Sorry no pic, I couldn't even get one because it was so small.

When MTS are small the shells will look clear...

Oh and to let ya know they are livebearers so it came in as is no as an egg.

Now that's a little confusing because as I said the last fish I got was over 2 weeks ago, but this thing is still so small and transparent. But maybe the lfs guy scrapped one of the glass when he caught the fish and I didn't see it.
