So im looking to buy one or the other but I am not sure which to go with and my searches have come up short. I have a 72g bowfront with black gravel (small gravel), a homemade yeast-type CO2 system, 6 cories (incase one holds better against them) and dual t12 bulbs which tomorrow im getting new bulbs. Which should I go with, 6700 daylight or look for a 10,000??? So which of these 2 will carpet easier/better ??? Would like opinions here :help:

If possible, for lighting, i would do 1 of each bulb to make it look more natural;) And for the tears

they are almost the same..........in terms of needs

If you want a carpet, then I would do dwarf baby tears, and if you want it to grow a bit taller and NOT a carpet, i would do baby tears

both would work as carpets, but Dwarft baby tears would spread faster and look nicer:)

A word of caution, I tried dwarf baby tears my cory's savaged them. I had to replant them everyday until I finally gave up on them.

I had regular baby's tears (HM not HC) in a 75g under 3 T-8 bulbs (96w total), no co2. It grew well in a nice ground mound, not tallish...until I added a BN plec who dug it up. It was ok with small loaches so maybe ok with corys. With that low of lighting I'd skip dwarf HC.

Ok so I ordered the dwarf BTs. And today I was gonna upgrade my lights thinking a normal workshop light fixture could produce the high color stuff the aquarium bulbs are supposed to give :nono:
Found out that won't work when i get home, lol. So after a good amount of searching i find a $90ish T5HO 3bulb, total ~160 watt light that Looks pretty great! Then my dad says the light over his 30g saltwater thats just got live rocks (hes trying to sell the whole thing for the past few weeks) was a 200watt compact or something like that??? its holding 2x 96w old bulbs (REALLY old model) so I guess Id have to get new bulbs for it. He will move the live rock and sand into his 125g he is also trying to sell and my mom wanted the 30g for some old oak stand to put neons in or something... In short now I need to know if anyone has ever fit a 36" onto a 48" tank. I have a homemade acrylic piece as my tanks lid atm. Anyone got suggestions for this? Also I was gonna plant the DBTs in the slots of an eggcrate piece till it rooted. And thanks for all the responses!
