Overwinter the fry as you would the adults. Condition them with plenty of food now while water temps are above 60 deg. Feed them plenty of fat and protein, mosquito larve work great and are easy to harvest/grow. Worms of all sorts will be easily eaten. Once the temps. get below 55, low temp. wheat germ based foods are used and don't contain enough protein to ready them for the cold. They'll work, but pre-fall feeding is best.
