Babysitting tonight so I just registered!

Just got started on a 55 gallon tank. I have 2 parrots and 2 Cichlids. I seen some of the photos of aquarium's on here and their just gorgeous! I think I need to invest in a canister filter, just not sure what kind???? Looking forward to chatting with someone.

Parrots are cichlids BTW. what are the other cichlids you have?

Thank you, someone gave me the other 2 cichilds, they are a dark brown with light blue spots...and as of right now, they act as if their going to jump out ofthe tank! Their splish splashin around! Wonder if I should feed them again???

Does it look like their gulping up air? that could be a sign of low oxygen levels in the water.

Oh my...I just filled the tank up the other day...maybe I have it too full and their not getting enough oxygen from the other filter (very basic) I bought them all kinds of pellet foods and flake food, so your probably right. I definitely should check into that. Thanks!
