Background Installation tips

OK, I have seen the internal ones you were talking about, I understand now! :)

uh, lots of backgrounds are internal....

I've seen rock backgrounds, etc. inside tanks, obviously, but never a vinyl sheet background which is what I thought we were discussing here.

Maybe you can explain how to install a vinyl sheet background inside a tank -- also how would be the best way to clean it.

Here is what I would do.....take and wad it up and throw it in the garbage.... Then go buy a can of Krylon black spraypaint....mask off around the edges and then spray it with 3-4 coats until you cant see any light spots when you look at it ...then call it done and enjoy your new gourgous black background ;)

Just playing...I have saw a few of the tape on style backgrounds that looked pretty good depending on the theme of the tank. But all my tanks get the black Krylon treatment :)

The blue painters tape works very well for taping backgrounds on the tank back. 90% of the time it doesnt leave adhesive behind like regular masking tape does.

vaseline with no perfumes works really good to make it stick to the back of the tank

Dang, those last three replies had some nice tips. Too bad I had already installed it with plain old scotch tape. I think it came out pretty good though. Thanks for the suggestions.

That is a pretty cool idea, I might try it on my next tank.
