Backyard visitors

man there cute (always wanted one as a pet) and yes thay look young.

also most skunks are actually pretty docile and wont spray you it's when thay decide to do that your in trouble (had to many dogs get sprayed), because of this thay make pretty good pets.
 
Attracting skunks will make you very popular with your neighbors! Skunks which are exposed to humans early enough and in the right way often won't spray them. They never spray each other and it could be that they learn to consider us funny looking skunks. An ex girlfriend had an undescented one she kept in an outdoor pen. It would turn any person's hand other than hers into a bloody mess but it never sprayed anyone or anything except for dogs which strayed too close to the pen.

lol I actually had one as a pet when I was younger-it was de-scented but still was a stinker....he was such a cool pet. True story! =]
 
skunks are mean as hell you guys are crazy. they pretty much get shot on site around here.

really most of the ones i've delt with of been pretty docile. that being said thay are a wild animal and should be treated with respect like most things.
 
don't know where you are webbie but that's pretty much the attitude here in west Tennessee. Skunks are the most common carriers of rabies, they say, so every few years when the population booms some county or other goes on a trap-or-shoot spree. doesn't happen often around here; we're so rural the coyotes & bobcats keep the pop. boom from happening in the first place.

Hehehe. I know someone who thought the skunk rubbing around their legs was their cat. They only noticed that it wasn't after kicking it three times :D
 
I've always wanted a de-scented chocolate skunk as a pet. They are almost like having ferrets as far as their smell goes. I had 5 ferrets over the years. As long as I bathed them in the right shampoo, kept their beeding clean, and cage cleaned they didn't stink. I loved my ferrets
