So I very recently finshed cycling my 20 gallon (fishless cycle) and got some fish. We bought all the fish yesterday and put them in. Its been 24 hours or so now and a obvious white cloudniess is forming in the tank. :eeek:
:eeek: From my reading here, its appears to be a bacterial bloom. The fish seem ok, but of course I am concerned. Will the bloom fade away in a day or so?
Right before putting in the fish, I did two large water changes prior to the fish. Lets see... I did a 50% water change the day before buyign the fish (Thursday). Then did a 75% water change on Friday morning. Friday afternoon I bought and added the fish. It is now Saturday afternoon/evening, and the white cloud is umistakeable.
P.S. Reason for the big water changes was for nitrates. I had did the first one, and then after reading more on the site, realized I probably shoudl have done a 75% as opposed to the 50% that I did. SO I did the other larger one.
