Bad filters or what?

Well, after just having my third filter die on me, I decided to find out if anyone else has had this problem. I just unplugged the filter on my 20g to do some regular cleaning, and when I plug it back in, it doesn't come back on. This has happened with two other filters of mine, both of which no longer work.

This is worrying me as I don't want my tank to go without a filter, and I don't want to keep buying new ones. So, anyone else have this problem?

What brand is this?

Have you tried pulling the impeller out and see if it just needs cleaning? Sometimes gunk builds up around them and makes them not want to start back up when you turn them off

Hey, what do you know! Tried that, gave it a good cleaning and now it works! I had no idea that could happen, thanks so much, I was worried i had another dead one . I'll have to go back and check my other two
