Bad idea...

So far the plan is 2 ADF's and a mystery snail. And (don't tell my girlfriend) when I get my 65high I'm going to try and put ghost shrimp and some cherry shrimp in because I've heard so many cool things about them.

As for my betta, I had to move his vase away from my 10g because he was scaring the gourami. =/

I would suggest maybe a betta, and 3-4 kuhli loachs they are great but dont expect to see them alot unless its feeding time!

Would either the ADF's or the betta eat baby brine?

The loaches look nice, but too big for a 5g. The 65g may be another story though....

Take my advice (though I would be pounded for this by many guys/gals out here who disagree with me)
Just leave your betta alone - dont mix him with just anything - gourami or non-gourami That's best for all.

Okay, so since the lowest price I could find on a 5g-hex kit was $50 I've decided to setup another 10g. My plan is this:

Take the betta and put him in the new 10g with the ADF's I bought today, a mystery snail, two of my danio (Long fins), and buy four tetra's to put in with him and another female platy to pull some agression from my other female.

Total tank setup:

10 Gallon #1
3 Zebra Danio
1 Strawberry Platy (Male)
1 Gold Crescent Platy (Female)
1 Platy of undecided color (Female)
1 Red Fire Gourami

10 Gallon #2
2 Long Fin Blue Danio
4-6 Tetra
Male LT Betta
Mystery Snail
2 ADFs

Sound good?
