so i went and checked out a new lfs a couple of days ago, and i don't think i'll ever go back. the guy that helped me was rude, had a filthy mouth, and was teliing me things that just didn't seem to jive. i told him that i was spot feeding my yellow polyps and zoas with frozen brine/mysis shrimp, and he said that polyps/zoas don't eat shrimp. i proceeded to tell him that mine always responded well and ate the shrimp. he then said that they were probably just shrinking up due to the irritation and not really eating anything. i then told him that when the polyps open up, i can see through the stalks that there is in fact something in them. is it rare for yellow polyps/zoanthids to eat spot-fed shrimp? i thought this was the norm... he told me that the only thing he feeds the corals in the store is phyto feast, and that's all i needed to feed mine. he also told me a lot of other things that just seemed fishy (sorry, no pun intended), so i politely thanked him for the advice and left. anyone have any ideas on this? thanks
