I have a 20 long refugium below my main tank and I am getting too many bubbles in my main. Where would be a good place to find plastic to cut to size for a bubble trap. Currently in have breeding dividers but they have tiny holes in them and dont work very well. Any ideas
??

Home Depot type stores carry acrylic sheets. Just rough up the edges before you silicone them into place- silicone does not bond very well to acrylic, and they can blow out when you add water.
I just had glass cut to fit and love it.

Is plexiglass acrylic?

Is plexiglass acrylic? I just had a guy at Home Depot tell me that it's the same thing. Also don't use silicone to glue acrylic, use Weld-on #3. It tends to melt the joints together. You put the pieces together, then take the Weld-on in a dispenser with a needle applicator and sqeeze the Weld-on between the pieces of acrylic. Check out this link. This guy has used a lot of acrylite sheets to make some really nice sumps and refugiums....

or this one which explains how to design and 'weld'the pieces of arylite together...

Note that the weld-on will NOT bond acrylic to glass. silicone will. Acrylic and plexiglass are the same thing. plexi-glass is a brand of acrylic I believe.
hth :)
