What do you guys and girls recommend adding to fish (or water, I guess) when you ship them ? I read something that said use bag buddies if you couldn't find anything else 'cause it only lasts 5 -6 hours. What does everyone use and recommend ? Thanx.

I have never read that bag buddies only last 5-6 hours. I use them with usps priority deliveries with no problems.

Perhaps some stress coat could be good for the fish? I read once that an exremely small dose of clove oil (yes, the same stuff we use to euthanize fish) can be used to sedate the fish for transportion.

I have never used bag buddies nor oxygen. For young fish I just bag with 1/3 water and 2/3 air (using an airpump to fill the bag). For older fish I purge for 24-48 hours prior to bagging depending on how large the fish are.

I do use a very small amount of Amquel in the bag water to detox any ammonia that may be produced during the journey.

well, there is this thing called AQUI-S it just makes the fishies sleep for a lil while, tho its not yet FDA approved

I use Kordon breathing bags, so O2 depletion is not a big issue. I add a little salt, too; electrolytes help with stress issues. Some people add H2O2 for a little extra oxygenation.
