You could use a disinfecting solution every time...boiling water is time consuming, but you could also do that. It would be a lot easier to spend $2 on a new net, don't you think? It's advised to have more than one net, anyway.

Make sure you have a good lid.... I had minnows as a kid..... they all commited suicide via jumping...into my sock drawer.

i have a very good lid since there is a crayfish in there.
