i got my berlin hang on skimmer on friday but the pwr head was broken, brand new unit, but i also would have to move my whole tank further from the wall to make room for it, my tank is 90 gal, and the aqurium store recomende this bak-pak unit, its good for tanks up to 60 gals but they told me several people use them on tanks up to 130 gal with good sucess, has any one used these and what comments do you have on them,

with 110 lbs of live rock my tank has been cycling for two weeks now, my amonia is 0, my nitrite is ,05 and my nitrate is 5, looks like the live rock realy help speed things up, im going to get a couple snails and 2 small percula this week end,

i also got a crab with the rock, freebe but my aqurium store said i have to get him out because its a hairy crab, any one with experiance on them also.

thanks for any advice on the skimmer

The lore I usually hear is that you take the rating of a skimmer that the company gives and divide it in half, not double it. The BakPak is a good skimmer for a small tank (up to 30 gal, IMO), and the double bakpak will probably get you to about 60. But if you're going with a hang-on skimmer, the Remora Pro is probably a better bet for about the same price.

Keep in mind that I haven't done the experiment, so this is just an opinion.
