Ok, I know I read somewhere you can bake instead of boil drift wood....I picked up a couple pieces today and there is no way they will fit in anything I have to boil them....so I'm wondering what temp....how long for baking it????

Thanks in advance,

G

There is no reason to do that at all if the driftwood is safely obtained from a proper source. Just give it a thorough scrub in running hot water.

I found this page... Thanks for asking the question, because I was wondering th same thing...

Well, I got it from the lake at the park we go to...well I guess it is a pond not a lake, so a thorough cleaning is what it needs I'm sure.

Does it smell like a wood burner?

Have you ever had it catch fire?

It smells like warm, wet wood. I haven't seen any evidence that it got hot enough to even smoke. Just keep an eye on it, don't throw it in there and leave the house or anything. ;)

LOL, ok I wont!! :perv:

Naw, I don't think there would be...it is from a place in the park, they have it pretty full of fish for ppl to catch and stuff. Maybe, but I really don't think they dump anything in there.
