Baking driftwood?????

Ok, well I did it. The pieces were actually a little to long for the oven too, but I just left the oven door cracked and let them stick out alittle. I wasn't even thinking by doing this they would end up "floaters" again so I had to weigh them down, and I do not like the look of the tank at all right now, the way I've had to set it up for now. I will be rearranging here soon...but this is what I have so far

REALLY, that is awesome....maybe I can get that lucky!

Some park districts put chemicals in ponds/lakes to keep the weeds down in the summer, being early in the year I doubt anything has been added yet. NIce wood btw :)

Yeah, well the way this gets so much algae growth and stuff over the summer I don't think they add stuff, of coarse they may cause I don't know for sure, hopefully the power hose spray down, salt bath, and baking killed anything on or in it.
LMAO, thanks Dog:perv:
Looks good LG! I love the driftwood!

Baking it in some water may help it stay a little more moist, but with those pieces...thats a little hard:p:

Thank you FL!

I just can't wait for them to "sink" so I can arrange them nicely...hoping *fingers crossed* they do like BoredAgains and sink quickly!
