Anyone familiar with Balas losing their shinny silvery look? I recently bought 3 to go with the 1 I had in tha 220g tank and they were very a very shinny silver color. Within a week 2 of the new ones were died (unknown reasons) and the other new one has lost his sheen as had the old one. I never noticed it on the older one without another fish to compare it to.
At first I attributed the the color loss to the fact that the older one lived through a major portion of the tank cycling, now I don't know. The water level are almost perfect with about 0 ammonia and nitrite. Would Bala stress cause this? I have 3 tetras in the tank that cause everyone grief from time to time.
