Balancing My Planted Tank!

I have a couple of pics to add - but can't remember how I did it. My fluid level seems to be different than it was the other night. How do I do it?
Let's see if these work - it's coming along, need those steroids to kick in and fill up the top back! I should be trimming before you know it.

Thanks! The pictures don't do it justice - still fooling with the camera. It looks a little better in person.
I normally dislike hex tanks but you pulled off a great planted tank. Take another photo in 3-5 days for comparison!!
We originally got the tank because it fit in the corner and looks very good in the room. Then I got the idea of making it a planted tank after it had been up a year (ripped out the UGF, new substrate, the whole nine yards about 8 weeks ago - lost only 1 fish). The tank has certainly been a big challenge to light and scape. It's coming together - a great deal of patience required. I will post a couple updated pics after the weekend.
