Bally's 40B

Ran a few tests this morning....
Ca: 290
Mg: 1200
kH: 9.05

Needless to say I should begin dosing lol
I added 20mL of Reef Complete calcium and 40mL of Brightwell Code B. I'm going to wait until tomorrow to check the mag, as the calcium supliment has 8mg of Mg per gal.

I'm trying to talk the bf into a trip to Marine Solutions in Dayton, to get my little male clown, hopefully my female accepts him. She far less aggressive without a nem.

On a very sad note, we lost power for 6 hours last night and lost one of our fishes in the sps tank, a male yellow fin fairy wrasse :'(

Congrats on the new male. Looks like they are getting along. Sorry about the power outage.

290 is pretty low. Are confident in your test kit?

Oh yes, its a red sea liquid kit under a year old.
The salt I'm using at 1.023 is reading 385ppm for Ca Idk why its that low, from the corals perhaps, or my alk being so low, or trying to grow coraline or the clump of cheato... I honestly have no clue. Retested today and my params are
Ca: 305
kH: 13.2
Mg: 1300

I dosed 8mL purple up and 5mL reef complete

If you ever head down this way again, you should stop in at coral cove in englewood. Probably cheaper than marine solutions, and woulda saved you some drive time too.
