Bally's 40B

Great thread. Sorry about the losses and the move. Great new setup. I hope to enjoy a saltwater setup someday myself.

Rerouted the return from the 30 so the light above the 40 will fit. Testfitting that soon....now just waiting on the rock. Can Wednesday be here already?!

Yes, reef mud, from premium aquatics. I was looking at the ritteri specifically. Carpet nems, although beautiful aren't worth the loss of my fish.

Do some research on this. I have never used it but I have seen several threads about reef mud wiping out tanks. May just be improper application that caused the crashes but I have seen enough threads to make me think there are some issues to consider.

Ill look into that for sure. http://premiumaquatics.com/aquatic-supplies/L-CRUDE.html

That is what I got, 4lbs specifically and 10lbs of reef rubble to seed things. I'm going to look at the mud and how its packaged (air, water etc...) and if it looks bad I'm not using it. ATM though, there is nothing in the tank to crash.

Now I'm confused (no shocker there :)). The pic in post 174 looks like you at least moved some coral into the tank? So the above refuge is offline?

Its a completely different tank.

Ah, sorry. Nevermind...nothing to see here...carry on.

The rock, rubble and muck arrived today, the LR is gorgeous, the rubble is fairly large chunks and the muck was very well packaged. Its all in the fuge settling in. I haven't "scaped" it yet though. There is a wicked cool bivalve of some sort on a chunk of LR, he's abour 3 inches long.

Great news. Look forward to seeing this fully operational!
