Bally's 40B

He says it just needs to break in.

I wouldn't have him buy me a new skimmer, id have him buy himself one. Then I get the one on his tank, and he has one way over rated for his tank so then he'll decide to upgrade to a 6' tank and then I can get my jaw fish and anthias ;)

There you go, always have a plan in place! :D

:FIREdevil: I like it!

Still nothing productive from the skimmer, no foam produced at all.

Real sorry Bally. Heck of a thing to come back to.

Thank you Greech.

Upon coming home I found a WICKED algae bloom. It was mainly my fault as my lights aren't on timers yet. I explained it to the guy watching my tanks (he has a reef of his own and lives a few floors down) how to flip the one switch to turn them on/off. I didn't really care when they went on and off as long as it happened, he's doing me a favor by watching the tanks. Apparently though, he left the lights on the whole time. My newly recovered purple birdsnest is now bleached again and my tank is fluffy.

We are considering upgrading both tanks to a single 90gal, maybe a 110 as that's the biggest the stand was built to hold. Its hard having 2 90gal systems, especially when one only has a pair of clowns >.<

The clowns are doing very well, little blue is growing quickly. His tail is nearly all black now.

Time to get that timer! It always makes me nervous when I leave my tanks in care of someone else.

We decided to just combine the systems, its much more efficient.

Anyone want a new system lol ;)

So I was laying on the couch watching the tank when I noticed them eating something, the last I fed the tank was 3pm so I got up and looked. Much to my surprise I saw teeny little shrimplets swimming around! I netted some and turkey basted a fee more and put them in the cheato in the sump. I have seen the female shrimp berried before but have never seen what's happened to the eggs. Here's a pic of one of the parents.

Very cool. Some might make it in the sump.

If you were closer, I might take that extra 90 off your hands. One tank is definitely more manageable. I've considered a 2nd tank but don't think I will ever go that route.
