Ok so im new to the shrimpies and just wondering if this means anything.

One of my bamboos has gone a bright pinky colour while the other one is still the same colour as when i got them. Just wondered if pink was significant in any way ?

as i recall, they go really bright when they're well-fed and healthy. Grats! As long as the one that's still brown isn't picking from the substrate he should be okay (picking from the substrate means there isn't enough food in the water column to filter feed).

theres loads of food in the water column, but he does pick around occasionally to pick out bits of food that he has taken a liking to like the micro wafers. I was a little surprised to spot them both out and about though, its the 1st time i seen them in days.

Mine hid for a couple days when i first bought him, now he comes out all the time and hes that bright pink/orange color too! just wait till they molt! you don't want to miss that its wicked cool!

great to hear they're doin well :p don't suppose you could be bothered for some pics? (I'm shameless, I know, but I love pics!)

how often do they moult then? im just getting into the shrimp field so learning as i go, just could not resist them when i saw some i liked for sale. I have some pics in this thread http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=178077 as yet they have not come out enough for me to get a good shot on the new colouration, hopefully i will be able to catch them at some point soon then of course i will post pics. :)
