My bamboo shrimp seems to never eat, although I chip off small pieces of alage wafers or sinking tablets. Many times when I turn on the light I catch him on the strainer part of the filter, is he tryign to feed that way on small left over flakes from the rasboras? No other fish touches the wafers btw. He seems healthy, I'm just wondering why he seems to never eat.

Like alot of catfish he probably eats after dark. It is also possible your not looking hard enough :)

Must be he likes whats in the strainer better than the wafers. They'll pick if there isn't enough suspended in the water column.

btw...B.L.S. rocks!

My two bamboo shrimp filter in their food and when they are not doing that, they are rubbing their claws around the filter intake, gravel or plastic plants and then shoving them in their mouths.
