Banjo tumour

Hi
Can anyone recognise this tumour and tell me if it is treatable? The banjo appears to be still eating and is as active as banjos get. However it is getting larger and will prevent him for feeding eventually. No other fish are affected.
Hopefully the attached image is suitable for diagnosis.

FREAKSHOW ! omg thats fricken disgusting are you sure its a tumour? maybe it's a 3rd breast, or some kind of food he ate thats turnig into a twin. The petshop won't take it back like that & it's gross! unless youve grown overly attatched to it I suggest you pull it off or perform some day surgery on him (just add some aquarium salt to help him heal) & thanyou I was considering buying a banjo loach but i'm no surgeon I WANTED @ B A DOCTOR BUT I DIDN"T HAVE THE PATIENTS lmao I don't mean to make light of the situation. I had a growth on my cheek that would get long like a witch & be shaved off accidently & would not stop bleeding.I was very concerned when one day 1 of our budgies was sitting on my shoulder crooning in my ear when he looked @ it strangely tipped his head to the side peculiarly & quickly bit it off like plucking a hair. It never came back so your BANJO has hope but thats no way to live if it gets bigger ( how embarrasing) Do THE OTHER FISH stare @ it? omg lmao Im serious! its just freaky funny strange

On closer inspection more of these "tumours" were appearing all over this fish and only this fish. You can see another one starting on the belly in the photo if you look closely.
In light of this, the fish has been painlessly terminated. A shame really as these are real characters on the rare occasions when their out and about.
