beads appearing in tank

When I had snails I was told that copper will get rid of them.

Snails do NOT overwhelm properly managed tanks. They reproduce in relation to the amount of food in the system, so if you control the nutrients (ie, feed lightly but appropriately for the fish, clean the system regularly), the snails will never get out of hand. Snails are a valuable part of my tanks--they help clean, provide a food source for some fish, and don't cause any problems. Adding chemicals is a bad idea, since they all come with some side effects, and adding any fish just inceases the bioload of the system.

-I can't seem to keep snails!!! I wanted some just for looks, but I think I don't feed enough for them to stay arround. I doubt my danios eat them, mabey my CAE? I don't know?
-Are we sure this is troy's problem? I thought of air bubles myself, but we haven't gotten any info on what it might be other than clear beads. Could be his kid putting bubble bath in the tank for all we know.

well, does he have mommy and daddy snails? what about live plants?

troy first of all, what OG sed.
2nd of all, if you only have [plastic plants, why do you want to get rid of the snails?
3rdly consider VERY carefully before adding any chemical to your tank!

Another point that Og didn't touch on, pond snails and or ramshorns, whichare the two common snails that would lay eggs matching your description. do not eat plants.
The snails that eat plants are large, and not typically hitchhikers. additionally, they lay their eggs above the water line, not submerged.

Fisrt estabilish if you do or don't actually have snail eggs, then if you do, rejoice at the idea of free algea cleaners.

lol! im only 14 i have no kids. and zazz i have two plastic plants and about 5 live plants. 3 hornworts, an amazon sword plant and a type of grass. maybe it came with one of them. i wont worry until something bad happens.

thanks for the advice guys,
Troy

?? i have to disagree completely.

ramshorns totally eat plants. they have the floating egg clusters that look like white bubbles or beads. i have to differ on the hitchhiker part too. i have often seen the little brown ramshorns in my LFS's plant tank and gotten them for free b/c they are pests in there. i get a new plant or two every week and float them in my snail tank (colombian and red ramshorns) and by the end of the week i need another batch b/c they've been eaten. once i got some local plants from a stream and they devoured it.

the mystery snails will only eat dead or dying plant leaves, though they will go to town on some zucchini. the mystery snails lay the egg clusters above the waterline when they are bigger. when they are tiny they lay eggs in little clear blobs which look like they have lots of little pinheads inside of them. they will not be hitchhikers.

snails are cool, i actualy want them.

As a snack for my loaches!! haha...so i actualy get happy when i find a bunch of snails in my filter.
