Beard Alage?

I've just replaced my hood with a set of 8 T5 tubes (320W in total) (self birthday present:)). I've also added CO2. I chose the electrolysis type because it was only 20% the cost of a pressurised system. I know the latter is better but can't afford it right now. I will also add API leaf zone once I get my hands on some. Its out of stock here for the moment. I hope this will get rid of the stag horn algae. I don't really mind the green beard algae as long as it does not spread to plants.

Question: How do I know if I am dosing enough / too much CO2? is there a test for CO2 similar to Ammonia, NO2 etc?

Its basically a carbon electrode that will slowly dissolve by the action of a current through it. The carbon slate become a consumable (instead of CO2 bottles). Instead of a regulator, you have a knob for adjusting the amount of CO2 produced. I guess all its doing is adjusting the amount of current though the electrode. Its the same process as electroplating where gold from one electrode gets transfered to another electrode. In this case, co2 is produced by the process. All the stores here have recommended it, although they admit that the pressurised bottle system is better.
