We all pay alot for our aquarium hobby. It sucks when you have to sell your stuff and the bottom line is you are not going to get anything near what you paid for it, unless you are willing to wait a long time for the right person to come along who wants it. It's like that with everything except houses and classic cars. Everything else...spend the money, enjoy it, don't expect to get it back. You can't ask anywhere near the price of new stuff. People will just buy new. The only way to get rid of it is to give a screaming deal. JMO.

Just to let you know the prices per board foot of oak compared to pine is about 3 dollars. maybe if the thing was made out of teak, russian iron wood, or some sort of amazon hard wood I could see his pirces are close to fair.

I have to ask...why are you all fussing over a thread in which the item listed for sale was posted last November, and the person listing it hasn't been on the board since last December?

Darn strait!
I'm not trying to sell anything here.
My reasons for even posting were
A. to let the seller know his price is way high and If he wants to sell it it should drop his price a grand.
B. Letting other folks here in the market for a 220g the price a new tank should cost because lots of folks are getting ripped off.
Retail price on a 220 with stand and lids and twin lights is 899!!! an even grand with the canopy.
C.I posted the 220 price and the 265 price to help anyone looking for a big tank in the midwest I MAKE NOTHING.This is a store you walk into and buy a tank I have nothing to do with prices or sales.

But for giggles the store is forest lake pets in the minneapolis area.
450+ tanks of fish all over 40G

perfecto 55s on the pine stand lid, light 199.99
perfecto 75s lids,lights,pine stand 299.99
perfecto 125s lids lights 299.99 stand 199.99 extra
perfecto 220 stand,lids,twin lights 899.99
perfecto 265 stand, lids ,lights and stand around $1500

The best thing about paying to much for his tank is you dont get the 20yr warenty that comes with the tank since he didnt buy the factory stand. warranty null and void on that tank.

I would rather tick someone off that let some one get ripped off :)

Im intersted in buying a 125 gallon tank, how would I go about doing so!?!?THANKS!!!!!!!!!!1

Dan

Just click new thread and title it "Wanted: 125 gallon tank" and describe what you want, how much you might pay etc... all the details
