I love the blue, but the black make seeing the fish so much easier, at least in pictures. I didn't realize you had so many angels in there.

What method did you use to change the color?
I like both, but leaning slightly towards the black.

I used paint remover and a glass cleaning scraper. It was rustoleum oil base and it came right off. Then 2 coats of rustoleum black. I left the tank in place , there is 5 inches clearance behind it. I had to hang over the tank while painting it.

Looks great! I have black on the back of my tank as well and feel it makes the tank look sharper.

I thought about doing it black a while ago but thought I would have to move the tank to do it , never put much thought into it . Then realized it could be done and did it. I always used blue on my tanks and never thought I would like black. After I upgaded the lighting a few weeks ago the blue was really bright, that's when I made the decision to go black. It really lessened the brightness in the room.

It was a bit of a pain.

I like the black a lot better, hides the equipment and you can see the plants and fish easier..... as always, the tank looks great!
